Zazie Olivia Beetz was born in Berlin in 1991. Her father is a German cabinet maker, who immigrated in USA in 1990. United States in 1990 after the fall of the Berlin Wall, and her mother is a South African-American social worker in New York. Jennifer Aniston also graduated from her high school. Beetz was a student at Skidmore College to study French following her graduation from LaGuardia. Beetz immediately began auditioning after college and landed the role of Van in Atlanta. Born in Berlin to the parents of a German father and an African-American mother, Beetz was born in New York speaking both German and English in the home. Zazie was doing shows on community and local stages in her early years. As a teenager, she discovered acting and eventually became a professional actor. Zendaya achieved the Disney Channel breakout role thanks her amazing dance skills. In 2010, the actor and dancer finally landed her breakout performance when she was cast as Rocky Blue in the show "Shake It Up" with her co-star Bella Thorne. Zendaya was just 11 when, on a family road trip, she came across an animal processing plant. PEOPLE reports that she said, "It was horrible to watch all those animals waiting in that slaughterhouse." "I would never believed it was how I'd obtained my food!" She's since adhered to a plant-based diet.
