Nadia and Carol
Nadia Comaneci is a Romanian gymnast (born on the 12th of November, 1961, in Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej (now Onesti] Romania). She was the first to be the first athlete to get a perfect 10 on an Olympic event. Comaneci was discovered by Bela Karolyi later the Romanian gymnastics coach, when she was six years old. Comaneci competed for the first time at the National junior championships. She finished 13th. Following that, she took home the title of champion. In 1972, as part of an international meet of communist country juniors prior to the Olympic Games, she won three gold awards. And in 1973, and 1974 she became the all-around junior champ. She beat the Russian Lyudmila Torishcheva who was the five-time European Champion at her first senior international event in 1975. At this competition, she received four golds, and a silver. The American Cup was hers to win. American Cup in New York City in 1976 and became the first female to do an backward double salto to perform dismounting from the unbalanced parallel bars. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. Her path into the world of entertainment began in her teens when she began dancing as a figure skater with her younger cousin Nina Wayne as part of the traveling entertainment shows called Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne is a United States citizen, born on the 6th of September 1942 in Chicago Illinois. Carol started her entertainment career as a teenager. She made her debut as a model skater with her twin sister Nina Wayne as part of the shows that traveled around that were known as Ice Capades. The shows featured skating on ice and included staged performances.
