Julia Fiona Roberts born to Betty Lou Bredemus (mother) and Walter Grady Roberts on October 28th the 28th of October, 1967. Roberts belongs to the fourth generation of Robertses to reside in the Atlanta area, starting by her grandfather John Pendleton Roberts a farmer. Her father was the first interest to the theatre. When he was in school in Emory University in 1952 he acted in productions on campus as well as in other parts of Atlanta. In 1953, when he joined the Air Force and was spotted with Betty Lou Bredemus in Biloxi. Eric Anthony was their first born. The couple got married in 1957. Walter attended Tulane University at New Orleans In 1957, the city of Louisiana where the couple had left the US Air Force. Walter was a part of the Atlanta Academy Theater and Harrington Scenic and Lighting Studio at the time the family moved from Atlanta to Decatur, Georgia in 1960. The year 1964 was when Walter along with Betty Lou began production on a local Saturday morning children's television program called Bum Bum and His Buddies which they financed their own. The Actors and Writers Workshop was established in 1964 and lasted for 6 years. The couple also had two children, Lelisa Billingsley (1965) (also known by the name Lisa), and Julia Billingsley (1967) (also also known by the name Julie).
